Working at ludicrous speed; this series of 6 stories was shot in just 5 consecutive days + 1. We ended up featuring 200 people in front of the camera — with scenarios ranging from a rugby game in college oval to aboriginal cultural dances in Royal Botanic Garden, and from a singing choir in the school cathedral to a full orchestra in a concert hall.

Working in Lapland during winter can be a challenge. Not only did we face −35°C temperatures, but all of our moves throughout the day had to be precisely mapped in order to ensure the snow staying untouched for wide shots. Valtteri’s high spirit was unshaken during the production, yet the MVP may still have been our key grip riding the snowmobile holding the camera.

I worked as the DoP and Steadicam operator simultaneously which is less optimal, but doable when I’m supported by a team that I can fully trust.
